February in Tuscany is full of Carnival celebrations: Viareggio, which is one of the most important Carnivals in Italy and only 20 km away from Villa Lazzarino, but also many others like Piombino, Pietrasanta, Arezzo, Follonica, Santa Croce… A real folklore experience!

Bagni di Pisa Thermal Baths
A unique natural spa, in the summer palace of the Grand Duke of Tuscany. The majestic spa residence was originally built in 1743 for Francesco Stefano of Lorena, the Grand Duke of Tuscany. Just 10 minutes away from Villa Lazzarino and a special discount for our guests.

Historical events
The GIOCO DEL PONTE takes place every June in PISA, across two main moments: the historic procession-parade along the riverbanks (with more than 700 costumed figures) and the Battle of Ponte di Mezzo, in which teams from the main neighborhoods belonging to the city’s two rival factions challenge each other, putting each other’s physical endurance to the test, in an almost agonizingly engaging spectacle. Countless historical events are celebrated in Tuscany all year round and culture, food, wine and tradition fuse together to let you feel deeply into tradition. From Villa Lazzarino it is perfect to reach them all in a journey through time!
Cycling in Pisa and around
Cycling is one of the most exciting ways of travelling and here you can take in the sights of amazing beaches and mountain tops, crossing precious hamlets lost in the countryside. You can bring your bikes or rent them for sport trips or use ours at Villa Lazzarino for a ride in town.

The Pisan area is well known as the perfect climate for hoses. That’s why we do have numerous racing horses stables and an important hippodrome in the wonderful San Rossore and Massaciuccoli National Park. Horse riding or attending a race at the hippodrome are great ideas just few minutes away from Villa Lazzarino.
Skiing in Tuscany
Not only Alpes in Italy! Villa Lazzarino is only one hour away from the Apennines and one of its largest ski resorts in Abetone. We do also have the wonderful Monte Amiata, Zum Zeri – Passo Due Santi, Careggine and Casone Profecchia.
